Bites from the Frisco Lodge Kitchen

We put together our favorite recipes from our Frisco Lodge kitchen. Learn how to make the goodies we create during breakfast and happy hour.

Belgian Waffles

2 cups flour

4 tablespoons of melted butter

2 cups of yogurt (greek)

4 teaspoons of sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 egg yolks

1 cup of milk

1 teaspoon of salt

 

Add all dry ingredients 1st

Then add yogurt

Then add milk

Mix until smooth

Melt butter and add in at the end

Add two egg whites stiffly beaten (stir in gently) after all other ingredients are thoroughly mixed 

Bake two to three minutes (maybe a little longer)

 

Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

Set oven 375* degrees 

3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup Crisco or margarine

1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

3 tbs of milk

1 tbs of vanilla

1 egg

1 3/4 cup flour or (2 1/4 cup of flour at high altitude)

3/4 tsp of salt

3/4 tsp of baking soda

 

Combine peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, milk & vanilla in a large bowl until blended. Add egg and blend. Combine flour, salt & baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix until blended. Drop by teaspoon fulls on a cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork in a criss-cross style. Bake at 375* for 7-8 minutes until set and beginning to brown. Cool two minutes on a baking sheet. This recipe makes three dozen cookies.
