* ATV Riding...is a wonderful way to get to the backcountry faster than hiking. Nova Guides out of Vail, offers guided and unguided tours so you can get out and explore!

* Biking...another fantastic activity! Booking your rentals is a key to getting a good ride in. We work with Christy Sports and Rebel Sports. Follow on along to the Dillon Ranger District for great biking trails!

* Chuckwagon Rides...Two Below Zero offers a wonderfully filling chuckwagon ride, that gets you out in nature, and enjoying a wonderful meal after!

* Dog Sledding (Summer)...such a different experience following the dogs in the summer times along the paths of the Swan River Valley with Good Times Sledding!

* Fly Fishing...Trouts Flyfishing is a few doors down, and a heck of a lot of fun! These guides are some of the best out there for a great day on the river!

* Frisco Marina...is home to a great number of activities to do on the water! Non-motorized or motorized, they have the options for you!

* Hiking...so many options and so many trails! Check out the Dillon Ranger District for great maps and guides to wonderful must-see hikes!

* Horseback Riding...is a great element to the wild west experience! We recommend Platte Ranch outside of Fairplay. They train and treat their horses with such respect, and it shows! They do not have a website, because they are too busy enjoying the outside, but check them out on TripAdvisor, and give them a call! Another great option near Kremmling is Rusty Spurr Ranch. Go out for a trail ride, or a cattle drive with these wonderful horses and staff!

* Jeep Tours...Nova Guides cruises around the back roads and lets you head up some of those great 4x4 roads your car won't let you!

* Mine Tours...are a great way to learn about our fantastic history! Country Boy Mine is located above Breckenridge, and lets you get down and dirty in the mine!

* Train Rides...are fun for the whole family! The Georgetown Loop Railroad is located in Idaho Springs and has great theme rides and regular trips! Another great option that takes you up high along the treeline is the Leadville Train.  Ride along on the tracks that would take miners back and forth from the mines all around Leadville. Learn about much of its rich history up in the mountains.

* Whitewater Rafting...is a perfect way to see the river from a different perspective. Chose a section of a few rivers surrounding us that have the perfect level of excitement for you! We highly recommend Performance Tours

Winter

* Dog Sledding...gives you the adventure of a lifetime to ride on a sled, drive and run with the dogs along beautiful trails! Two great companies we recommend are: Good Times Adventures and Alpine Adventures Dogsledding

* Fat Bike Rentals...cruise on some of the trails in the winter on a bike with nice big fat tires to help push you through the snow! Rebel Sports down the street from us has a great selection!

* Frisco Adventure Park...has a whole slew of wonderful things to do just a short ride away! Check out the tubing and wonderful beginner ski hill! Check it out!

* Frisco Nordic Center...is an excellent facility located in the Adventure Park, with 30 km of ski trails and 10 km of snowshoe trails! Rentals and lessons are offered daily! Plan ahead for a great open space experience!

* Ice Fishing...try your hand at fishing under that thick layer of ice out on Lake Dillon. A new great way to explore the vast reservoir without a boat! Look at Alpine Fishing Adventures for pricing and availability!

* Skiing...so many places to chose from! Arapahoe Basin 17 miles away, Breckenridge 10 miles away, Copper 7 miles away, Keystone 11 miles away, Loveland 19 miles away, and many more!

* Sledding Hill...The Frisco Adventure Park has that covered!

* Sleigh Rides....picture this, the fresh snow is falling, and you and your family are being drawn by horses and mules around the Frisco Penninsula enjoying each other's company in a sleigh! There are so many great options, with hot cocoa, dinner, and entertainment! Our favorite is close to home at the Frisco Adventure Park, it is Two Below Zero. If they are full, another great location is Golden Horseshoe Sleigh Rides closer to Breckenridge.

* Snowmobiling...is a great way to get a little power underneath you and zip on top of the snow! There are some great options that have many different sights available for you and your family. Check out both High Country Tours, which is on Hwy 91 heading to Leadville for a more historically driven ride with great views looking out over the Collegiate Peaks. Another option that is on the way to Breckenridge is Good Times Adventures. They cruise through the trees and up and down trails in the White River National Forest. Both are wonderful options!

* Snowshoeing...while there are so many wonderful National Forest trails near us you can check out a great list here, there are also several options at the Frisco Nordic Center dedicated to just snowshoes. We do offer pairs first come first serve complimentary! Ask about it when you check-in!

* Tubing...at the Frisco Adventure Park is such a treat! You do need to make reservations, so jump on that as soon as you know when you would like to go! This is a fantastic family activity!
