8:00am – Pancake Breakfast

Start your holiday weekend off the right way with a pancake breakfast (benefitting Team Summit) at the Frisco Community Building at 8am … fill your belly and your heart by celebrating a good cause.

9:00am – Kids Fishing Derby

After loading up on carbs, grab the kiddos and head on over to the stocked pond at Meadow Creek Park for the Kids Fishing Derby from 9 – 11am. This free event, open to kids 15 and under, will test every child’s meddle as the children that catch the three longest fish will get “bragging rights” in the Summit Daily newspaper. Every child that participates will also receive a ribbon with a special fish pin.

10:00am – Summit Concert Band

From 10 – 11am the Summit Concert Band – a community-based group of musicians – will be offering their musical stylings to 4th of July crowds at the Historic Park Gazebo on Main Street Frisco.

12:30pm – Fabulous Fourth of July Parade

Taking place on Main Street from Madison Ave. to 6th Ave., the Fourth of July Parade will roll right past the front doors of the Frisco Lodge. Main Street Frisco transforms into a patriotic celebration with parade floats vying for a bevy of cash prizes and trophies in one of several categories.

The Fabulous Fourth of July Parade will also showcase the creative and patriotic creations of kids with the annual bike parade. After registering, kids will vie for the top design by a panel of judges before joining the parade.

1:30pm – Live Music

After taking in the festivities of the parade, take a stroll over to the Historic Park Gazebo for more live music from Guild of Ages. This melodic hard rock band from Denver incorporates strong guitars, large vocal harmonies and keyboards to their unique sound.

3:30pm – Interactive Drum Circle with Peak Rhythms

If your musical sensations haven’t had enough yet, on Main Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues, there will be an interactive drum circle with Peak Rhythms. This group drumming and rhythm program’s mission is to empower and unite people through rhythm, specializing in group drumming, drum circle and rhythm events that can accommodate groups of up to 1,000 and more. Within minutes, your group of friends or family will be creating rhythms and making music.

7:15pm – Live Music at the Frisco Bay Marina

Tired yet? We sure hope not as the evening hours kick off with two hours (7:15-9:15pm) of live music from the Eagles Tribute Band The Long Run at the Frisco Bay Marina. Laden with 4 and 5 part harmonies, The Long Run reproduces the Eagles’ hits with an organic 1970’s sound, multi-instrumentalists, and a lead-singing drummer.

‘Nuff said. One of the most majestic fireworks display in the high country, Frisco’s fireworks explode with all of their magnificence over the Frisco Bay.
