How to save money when traveling

The lockdown has been loosened and we get to travel around safely and following the CDC guidelines. It helps the economy and especially the small businesses that had to close for a couple of months during the lockdown. But since a lot of people haven’t been working which means not making money, they are not able to travel. But with the right planning, you can be able to travel, enjoy summer activities and not spend a lot of money.

It is the perfect time to take the trip you’ve always wanted to take right now because there are good deals and cancellation policies are loosened. A lot of summer activities that can follow the restrictions/guidelines are opened. Look out for great deals and discounts that businesses are doing. You can also do a lot of free activities like hiking, camping, biking, etc.

Travel increases your chances of getting and spreading COVID-19. We don’t know if one type of travel is safer than others; however, airports, bus stations, train stations, and rest stops are all places travelers can be exposed to the virus in the air and on surfaces. These are also places where it can be hard to social distance (keep 6 feet apart from other people). That means you have to be extra careful when traveling and protect yourself and those around you.
